Inferno sends two 12U Teams to the Paul Taylor/Mavericks Tournament
Submitted By Nancy Munn on Tuesday, November 21, 2017
The KW Water Polo Club sent two co-ed 12U teams to the Paul Taylor/Mavericks Tournament this past weekend in Etobicoke.  This marked the first tournament of the season for the 12U division, and first tournament in the sport for almost half of our 12U players!

Our new 12U players got their feet wet Friday night against two Mavericks teams, losing to both teams, but scoring our first goals of the season.  Saturday we played against Shadow, Mavericks, and South West, continuing to gain valuable experience and build our skills.  There were proud parents and coaches all around as we watched our players swim harder, pass farther and put their defensive and offensive strategies in to play, with marked improvement over the night before.  We wrapped up the tournament Sunday with an exciting “Battle of KW”, ending regulation time in a tie and going to a shoot-out.

Congratulations to all of our players on completing their first tournament of the season.  Thank you to the coaches for leading our teams at this event, and the parents for their support and encouragement.

Go Inferno!
