14U Boys @ The Thompson Cup Tournament, Hamilton
The 14U boys played in their 3rd tournament of the season this past weekend at the Thompson Cup held at McMaster University in Hamilton.

The first game was played with the Maverick Mustangs. The Kraken took the lead with the first goal. They continued to play cohesively and put in consistent effort but fell behind 5-1. In the fourth quarter the boys came back with 2 more goals but were still defeated 5-3.

The second game was aggressively played against HAWPC Black. Again, the Kraken boys scored the first goal. But the aggressive manner of this team took its toll on the players and with so few boys to sub, the Kraken boys got beat down. The team got a true taste of playing with an extremely strong team and lost 13-4.

Sunday’s game against the Maverick Colts was a make it or break it game. The 14U Kraken boys made a bunch of good shots and landed most of them. Many of the boys spent some time swimming to the corner. They maintained a competitive edge defensively and did not appear to tire. Ultimately, they lost the game 10-6.

A shout out to all the parents of the 14U Kraken boys who help one another consistently. Whether it be driving to practices and tournaments. The team may be small but the parents never cease to help and support each other.

We are excited to see whats in store for the 14U boys at the March Madness Tournament next month.
