18U National Championship League (NCL) events in Quebec
Our 18U athletes (boys and girls) travelled to Pointe Claire, Quebec December 12 - 14th to compete in the first NCL event of the season. In January they once again travelled down the 401 to Montreal for the second tournament.
18U athletes playing in the National Championship League play under the South Central Stingray banner which combines athletes from Forest City (London), Guelph, Hamilton and KW. This year we have a lot of new faces on the 18U teams and our athletes showed their resilience and grit as they challenged some excellent competitors.
Between illness, weather (both trips!), and traffic (who knew the hotel would be beside the Bell Center?), our athletes rose to the challenges before them. In the first tournament our boys finished 5th and our girls finished 6th. In the second tournament we had the pleasure of playing against additional teams visiting from Western Canada and our boys finished 8th with the girls finishing 7th.
We can't wait to see what they do next!
