Braving one of the coldest weekends Ottawa could throw at
us, our 12U Krakens brought heart, hustle, and a whole lot of team spirit to the
Wave Cup!
The team started strong, winning 2 of their first 3 games. They went on to drop their final two games, but both were against higher-ranked teams—an awesome challenge and a great learning experience. In the end, they finished 6th out of 12 teams, something to be proud of!
Three of our Krakens—Ben, Carl, and Max—had the honour of participating in the 12U All Star Game where goals were both scored and saved!
Weather aside, the weekend was a blast. The team and their families made the most of their time in the pool and out. From quality hang-out time at the hotel, to group meals, and a visit to the House of Commons on Parliament Hill, it was a weekend full of laughs, learning, and teamwork.
The tournament was hosted by Capital Wave, January 23–25, 2026.
