15U Kraken Girls Bring Home Gold from March Madness
The 2022 March Madness tournament saw a return to competition for many of our Kraken athletes after 2 years of increased screen time and listening to our coaches at practice.

As emphasized by Allen Iverson in one of his more infamous speeches, practice is just not the same.

The 15U Girls team played hard throughout the tournament, exhibiting excellent passing and positional play.  They also did an amazing job of spreading out the scoring, as most girls - rookie or veteran - contributed on the score sheet.  All of this led to a perfect record, sweeping the round robin and winning the gold medal game against the host Mavericks.  The final scores for the tournament were: 9-3 versus Mavericks, 14-6 versus DDO, 13-5 versus Capital Wave, and 11-4 versus Titans.  The gold medal final was 11-5 versus Mavericks.

The 15U Girls play again on April 8 - 10, at the 15U Inter Provincial Championships in Etobicoke.  Congratulations 15U Girls!  Go Kraken!
