9U & 11U - Fun and Fit Water Polo

Please note that Fun and Fit has been "paused" by the City of Kitchener for Fall 2020 program. We hope to see it offered again in the Winter 2021 program.

What:
A co-ed program for girls and boys who are 8-11 years old, are comfortable in the water and can swim a minimum of 10-15m (Swimming Level F or G or equivalent). The fun and fit way to have fun in the water while you learn to play Water Polo. The program is coached by the KW Water Polo Club. Participants will be introduced to the basics of the sport and will get a good vigorous workout while having fun.

Details: Run through the city of Kitchener, several sessions are run throughout the year. Refer to the Registration page for more information. To inquire further about the Fun and Fit program, email [email protected].

Fun and Fit participants can wear a regular swimming suit and should bring a water bottle in order to stay hydrated. In addition goggles will help for the swimming part of the practice.

Note: Strong individuals in these age divisions may be considered for the club's 13U Competitive program. We recommend they try Fun and Fit first, to see if they like Water Polo, before incurring the expense of our Rep program. A tryout and approval of a senior coach is required. If you would like to inquire about having your athlete try out for our 13U Competitive program, send an email to [email protected] to discuss further.
