Wow - what an fantastic Tournament Weekend
Wow - what an fantastic Tournament Weekend!
KW is proud to have entered 5 teams in the Paul Taylor Tournament this weekend in Etobicoke!
All of our teams made us very proud as they put forth an excellent effort in each of their games throughout the entire weekend!
The U16 Boys won 1, tied 1 and lost 3, however, all games were very competitive, hard fought and scores were very close. They demonstrated great skill and they are really gelling as a team. The Provincials look very promising and we look forward to their success!
The U14 KW Teams had a fantastic weekend as well. The KW1 team advanced to the Bronze medal game and fought hard against DDO and ended up with a 4th place ranking out of 9 teams. The KW1 team should be very proud of their accomplishment as they played extremely well! The KW2 team went undefeated in their division and advanced to the Gold Medal game vs. CAEM. This was an extremely physical and well fought match. Our players truly earned their Silver Medal finish!
The U12 KW Teams showed the depth and future of our Club this weekend with their performances. KW1 went undefeated in the tournament and tied for first place with DDO. Awesome teamwork! Keep an eye on this group as they have some great victories in their future! Our younger U12 KW2 team (we call TF) had a great first 'away' tournament experience against some bigger/older teams! This group has shown tremendous development in only 3 months as most of them are brand new to Water polo and many are well under U12! They played hard and had lots of fun over their 4 games - and although tired they were all smiles as they went into the change rooms!
We were also fortunate enough to have the opportunity to watch the U18 Women's NDC (National Development Camp) teams play this weekend which showcased the best players across Ontario and Quebec and our very own Tori Wilson from KW Inferno. (Unfortunately Emily Bidinosti also a member of the NDC was in attendance to support her team but was sidelined for the event and will be back in the pool soon.)
A huge thank you to all our coaches who put in many hours over this weekend - your time and effort is clear based on the performance of our teams this weekend and we thank you!
Please check our website regularly as we update pictures over the next week of all the teams.
