The U18 Girls team travelled to DDO on February 21 to
compete in a Tournament with 8 other highly competitive U18 teams from Ontario
and Quebec.
On Friday night the girls played St. Lambert, a team that was stronger than us last year, and in a very close game with a final score of 8-6 for our Inferno team. On Saturday the team faced a very strong CAMO team and the result was a tough 16-3 loss. The game was a great learning experience for the girls who improved every quarter. The final game the girls played was against DDO and the team played an excellent game. The final score of the game was 12-3 and it was an all around effort with contributions for every player. Over the course of the weekend the girls showed excellent improvement and the coaches were very proud of the team and the results.
Earlier in the month of February the Inferno Senior team travelled to Rochester N.Y to play in a tournament in Webster. On Friday night the group held a draft to determine who would be playing on each of the two teams for the duration of the tournament. K-W 1 had a strong offence and counter attack team and won their first game with ease. They went on to win their next two games handily and finish the tournament with 3 wins. K-W 2 had a close first game and by playing a strong defensive game they came out on top with a win. After shaking the cobwebs out in the first game, K-W 2 played and excellent final two games and ultimately came out with three wins. Both teams played very well and had a great time at the tournament that we attend annually.
