This weekend offered a change of venue to
Carleton University, where we had two U14 teams and one U12 team competing at
this co-ed event.
It was a small adjustment for our U14s to get back into co-ed mode but they manage this fairly quickly.
Our U12 team did the Inferno proud by bring home a Silver medal in their division with a 2W-1L-1T record on the weekend. The medal winning smiles of the players were heart warming.
Both our U14 teams amazingly went undefeated in their round robin groupings. KW Red missed the gold medal match by a two goal differential in a hard fought semi-final game leaving them light on fuel for the bronze medal match resulting in a 4th place finish with a 3W-2L-0T record. KW Black continued their winning streak going undefeated on the weekend and capturing the gold medal! Bravo KW Black on this spectacular performance!
Thank you to many of the parents who have made multiple trips to Ottawa in a short time span. Our club is fortunate to have such committed families. And the devotion of our coaches need to be recognized. Coach Glen your leadership of our players and coaching team is exceptional.
U14s will enjoy several well deserved weekends off from tournament play. Our U12 will be gearing up for March Madness which is quickly approaching.
