High Performance Camp a Success
Submitted By Kyle Devitt on Mon 01 07, 19
Class was back in session early for some NCL High School aged Kraken this weekend, as KW Water Polo was lucky enough to host a High Performance Camp at WLU.

David Hart, former Olympic athlete and coach, was in Waterloo to share some of his insight, wisdom, and coaching philosophy with a small group of High School aged players who were (due to a special grant from OWP) able to benefit from his presence. The players gave up the final weekend of their Christmas holidays to be part of something unique.

Special thanks to coaches Glen and Aleah for assisting David during the camp, and to the athletes as well who put in a ton of hard work making this venture a great one for all involved.

Day 1 of the tournament began with Glen looking more excited than the girls.  If our “Kracktans” girls were too nervous to look excited, they soon changed that with a 25 to 6 victory over Hamilton.  They followed that up with an 18 to 3 victory over ...

Another weekend saw another few days spent at the good old Etobicoke Olympium Recreation Centre, a place most likely familiar to any member of the Kraken Waterpolo club.
