This weekend saw the 16UGs Southwest Stingrays back in action again for the season's 3rd installment of NCL Competition, this time in Gatineau, Quebec.
These Southwest Stingrays, a team comprised of mostly KW Krakens, and a couple of players from Hamilton, trained hard and prepared for the coming clash.
In this weekend series of games, they defeated the Ottawa Titans (28-4), Tiburon of Montreal (22-8), but fell to perennial Quebec powerhouses Dollard des Ormeaux (11-6), and CAMO (12-6).
Our Southwest Stingrays sit in a 3 way tie atop the standings for first place in Eastern Canada with CAMO and the Mavericks from Etobicoke.
With only 6 NCL water polo matches remaining in the regular season, every game from here on out is crucial if the Stingrays want to achieve their ultimate goal for the season... Nationals in Calgary.
