KW Kraken Girls at Andrew Watson Memorial Invitational
Submitted By Calin Dragoiescu on Sun 11 06, 22
This weekend we had our first 19U tournament and a reunion of sorts.  We had some players from days gone by join us to take Guelph by storm!  Joining us from last year Karima and Charly and from YEARS gone by Trinity and Teodora!  Sara Z was even on deck to cheer her old teammates over the weekend.

Kraken started out early by teaching the University of Guelph a huge lesson by beating them 19 to 2! The second game was against the Mavericks.  Oh how we love playing these guys!  But we love beating them even more!  There was some great passing in this game and we even used the exact same passing sequence three times in a row to get a few over on the Mavs.  The younger players got a lot of play time this game and helped run up the score.  The final score in this game was 22 to 4.

The last game was against Shadow and they gave us a bit of a run for our money.  The first period was pretty close as the Shadow came to play.
Teodora saw a lot of action as Scarborough's offensive game was strong.  While Kraken was still able to get in some great shots our defense could use a little practice.   Our superstar coach Trinity even got rolled in the last period!  Despite this we were able to secure another win of 16 to 9.

Overall it was a fun weekend with old and new friends and a great start to the season!   Go Kraken!
