Krakens travelled to London for the Forest City Invitational
Krakens were out in full force last weekend at the Canada Games Acquatic Centre in London Ontario where our friends at Forest City (FCWP) hosted a tournament.
The players had an eventful weekend starting on Friday evening with the15Us playing our friends in Hamilton and an extra special opportunity to cheer on the SouthCentral team as they took on the Western University Varsity team!
We came back on Saturday and Sunday with full days across all our age groups playing with pride and determination.
Our 13U team continued to show improvement with each game and never gave up even when faced with unexpected challenges. I think all fans were on their feet and there were some hoarse parents for the last game where we only lost by 1 point!
Our 15U boys once again delivered excitement for fans (shootout anyone?), but ultimately lost to Mavs in the bronze medal. We beat them in Montreal, they beat us in London....must mean we'll get them next time!
And our 15U girls, partnering with Forest City went undefeated, bringing home the gold. Shadow beat us twice in Montreal and the girls were determined to reverse the tide. It was back and forth for most of the game, giving fans on both sides lots to cheer for.
Again, a big thank you to all players, coaches, parents and families for another wonderful weekend. See you at the pool!
